So now your on the Internet…now what?? What if you want to make changes to your WebSite. Was your site designed to evolve with your business? Will you have to go through a whole redesign or can you make small changes easily? And does the Internet site work the way you intended once it's been developed? Does the site reflect the mission of your company?
Most sites are designed for the present company needs and do not account for future growth.
We at Web Link Internet Design start our design from the assumption that this site will grow…after all WebSites that remain static will not attract repeated hits. Our design will allow you to easily grow your web presence and most important keep your costs in check.
Our key WebSite design philosophies:
Keep it simple
Design for clear navigation
Design for growth
Design for mobile, laptop, desktop and iPad
Design to fully represent your unique company or product
Good site designs are simple
The most important part of site design is keeping the site simple to begin with. Why design your site with all the latest cutting edge technologies when only a small percentage of internet users can experience them?? We design sites to be accessible to the largest number of internet users as possible by minimizing fringe internet technologies and relying on proven technologies to get your message or product out to the largest audience possible. If you want you WebSite to feature the latest cutting edge technologies we can do it but recommend that you also maintain a site that does not utilize those technologies. It has been our experience that you can have an engaging, well designed WebSite without the use of additional plug-ins, browser specific programming and esoteric programming.
Designing for clear navigation
If the informatiion in your site is not clearly presented the intended customer will move on to your competitors site. One thing you can say about the internet is that has not increased the attention span of the user. Therefore, your sites message and information has to be clearly presented to engage your clients.
Designing for growth
We work closely with our clients to help them define their Internet goals. By starting with a clear goals that defines the purpose and content of the site we are able to design a site map that combines ease of navigation with a logical flow of information. When it comes time to add new content it will fit easily into the navigational structure of the site without requiring costly redesigns every time you want to add new content.
Design to fully represent your unique company or product
Your company had a mission, a vision, and purpose long before you had a website. Was that mission translated to the website or was it lost in a sea of new technology? Web Link will listen to you and your company to craft a site that works for you. Tell us your goals and we'll create the site that best reflects those goals on the internet.
